The Edmonton Arena District will place the Oilers at the heart of a vibrant downtown neighbourhood that is home to restaurants, shopping, entertainment, new office space, hotels, ample parking and easy access to transit and pedway links to the greater downtown core. Together with some of the great redevelopment projects already under way (as shown on the map above), the District will help revitalize our downtown core and make it a great place to live, work and play.

As currently envisioned, the Arena District would include:

  • Arena
  • Community rink
  • Retail and entertainment space
  • Two hotels
  • Residential housing
  • Two office towers
  • New casino
  • Student residences
  • Winter Garden*

* The Winter Garden is a large, year round, climate controlled, programmable public space that bridges 104th Avenue and ties together the various elements of the District.
